Zverev wins French Open for 1st Grand Slam title


Alexander Zverev won the French Open, beating Flavio Cobolli in five sets to claim his first Grand Slam title. The Roland Garros final ended years of near misses for the world No. 3, who had finished runner-up three times before. The result matters because it finally gives Zverev a major and leaves Cobolli with a first Grand Slam final run that ended in defeat.
