June 25, 1973: The day Wimbledon began with a boycott from top players

On June 25, 1973, Wimbledon opened with almost all of the top ATP players boycotting the tournament. The protest backed Niki Pilic after his suspension by the International Tennis Federation. It remains one of the most unusual and important episodes in Wimbledon history.
