Kostyuk: Missile struck near parents' Kyiv home

Marta Kostyuk won her Roland Garros opener against Oksana Selekhmeteva hours after learning a missile had struck near her parents' home in Kyiv. The 15th seed described the match as one of the hardest of her life and dedicated the win to Ukraine. She stayed unbeaten on clay this season and extended her run to 13 straight wins on the surface after title runs in Rouen and Madrid. The result keeps her moving through the French Open draw while putting the war in Ukraine directly into focus on day one in Paris.
