“Pain, pain, bothering me, I can’t explain anything”: Fils withdraws from Roland-Garros, ending a career-best clay swing

Arthur Fils has withdrawn from Roland-Garros because of persistent pain in his back and hip. The French No. 1’s exit ends his home Grand Slam before it begins and cuts short a career-best clay-court swing. He said the problem is not the same injury that shaped his 2025 season, but it still left him unable to compete.
