Zheng ends Norrie's 2026 ambitions at first hurdle


Qualifier Michael Zheng knocked Cameron Norrie out in the Wimbledon first round, winning a fifth-set tie-break 10-4. The upset came on a poor opening day for British players, with Harriet Dart also losing and Jack Pinnington Jones left trailing Brandon Nakashima when play stopped. For Norrie, it ends his Wimbledon run immediately and deepens the early damage to British hopes at the tournament.
