Jannik Sinner reached the Monte-Carlo Masters quarter-finals after beating Tomas Machac 6-1, 6-7(3), 6-3. His run also ended a streak of 37 consecutive sets won at Masters 1000 level. The loss of the streak came even though he still advanced, and the match was played despite illness issues. Carlos Alcaraz also moved through to the last eight in Monte-Carlo.
