Andy Roddick said Jannik Sinner’s scrappy first-round Wimbledon win may be exactly what he needed. The former world No. 1 framed the result as a useful mental test rather than a clean performance, with Sinner still in the middle of the tournament’s early rounds. Casper Ruud also weighed in on the broader men’s Grand Slam picture, admitting he was wrong about the way the Alcaraz-Sinner rivalry had looked after Roland Garros.
