ITF after IOC no longer recommends restrictions on Belarusian athletes - the suspensions will remain in place for Russian and Belarus tennis federations, however the membership status of Belarus Tennis Federation will be discussed again in October

The International Tennis Federation will keep suspensions in place for the Russian and Belarus tennis federations after new guidance from the International Olympic Committee on Belarusian athletes. Aryna Sabalenka and other Belarusian players are affected because they continue to compete under the current neutral-status policy. The Belarus Tennis Federation's membership status will be reviewed again in October. This keeps the off-court dispute over eligibility and federation sanctions unresolved for now.
