King of the sudden death: Auger-Aliassime dethrones Ruud at Bastide UTS Nîmes

Felix Auger-Aliassime beat Casper Ruud to take the Bastide UTS Nîmes title. He won all three of his matches through sudden death in Nîmes, ending Ruud’s bid to defend the event. The result sets up Ruud for a semifinal against Alexander Bublik and Auger-Aliassime for a semifinal against Andrey Rublev at the tournament. The quarterfinals were scheduled for April 3 in the Arènes de Nîmes.
