After French outcry, Wimbledon payouts up 20%

Wimbledon has raised total prize money by 20% after renewed player pressure over revenue sharing. The singles champions will each earn $4.8 million at next month’s grass-court Grand Slam. The increase is meant to respond to player complaints, but the revenue-share dispute remains unresolved.
