Alexander Zverev beat Flavio Cobolli at the Mutua Madrid Open to reach the semi-finals. The win also kept Zverev's strong Masters 1000 run going and matched a feat shared by Roger Federer, Rafael Nadal and Jannik Sinner. He had lost to Cobolli in Munich just 12 days earlier. Zverev needed about 90 minutes to get through the match.
