Matteo Arnaldi beat Alex de Minaur 4-6, 7-6(7-5), 6-4 in the second round of the Italian Open. De Minaur’s clay-court slump continued, and the loss added another early exit for the world No. 8. The Australian had also lost four of his past five matches on clay. Arnaldi won in front of a loud home crowd at the Foro Italico.
