Alexander Zverev opened in Munich with a hard-fought win over Miomir Kecmanovic. The top seed at the BMW Open by Bitpanda saved the match after Kecmanovic pushed back in the second and third sets. Zverev closed out a 6-3, 3-6, 7-6(2) first-round victory with a late tweener.
