Matteo Arnaldi upset world No. 8 Alex de Minaur in the Rome second round. The Italian wild card won 4-6, 7-6(5), 6-4 in just under three hours. Arnaldi advances to face 19-year-old Spaniard Rafael Jodar. This was the first men’s second-round upset in Rome.
