Players tackle blistering heat at start of French Open in test of endurance


Players at Roland Garros are battling unusually brutal heat as temperatures climbed to 33C in Paris. Daria Kasatkina said she could not remember the last time conditions were so hot, with competitors forced to adjust to the extreme weather on clay. The heat is making the opening days of the French Open a test of endurance as much as tennis.
