Nature of the Service

TennisDB is an independent WTA statistics reference. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to the WTA Tour or any governing body. All data is provided for informational and research purposes only.

Data Sources & Licensing

Historical WTA data is sourced from Jeff Sackmann / Tennis Abstract (opens in new tab) and is licensed under CC BY-NC-SA 4.0 (opens in new tab). Derived datasets from this source are shared under the same terms.

BallDontLie provides 2025+ live/current WTA data and historical match gap-fill where useful. WTA rankings use Sackmann before 2025 and BallDontLie from 2025 onward.

Accuracy

While we strive for accuracy, TennisDB makes no guarantees about the completeness or correctness of the data presented. Statistics may contain errors, lag behind official records, or reflect upstream data issues. See our Data Quality Report for current reconciliation status.

Acceptable Use

• You may browse, reference, and link to TennisDB freely.
• Search engines and AI crawlers may use the public pages, XML sitemaps, RSS feeds, and markdown mirrors described in /llms.txt, subject to reasonable rate limits.
• Automated bulk data extraction, database cloning, or attempts to bypass rate limits are not permitted without prior written consent.
• Do not use TennisDB data for commercial purposes that would violate the CC BY-NC-SA 4.0 license of the underlying Sackmann dataset.

Limitation of Liability

TennisDB is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We are not liable for any decisions made based on the data presented on this site.

Changes

We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of the site constitutes acceptance of any changes.
