Paris lights: Osaka-Sabalenka in rare night match

Aryna Sabalenka and Naomi Osaka will play the first women’s night match at Roland Garros in three years, a fourth-round meeting that has been billed as a marquee Paris session. The match matters because it restores a women’s feature to the French Open night schedule and pairs two former Grand Slam champions under the lights. The slot also comes in a draw that has already thinned after the exits of Jannik Sinner, Novak Djokovic and Carlos Alcaraz from the top half. Elsewhere in Monday’s French Open action, Felix Auger-Aliassime and Flavio Cobolli were among the remaining seeds set to continue the push toward the last eight.
